That reminds me of a story recounted by John Massey from Ashwood Nurseries at a talk I went to in Cork.

He was asked by these three ladies if he would show them around his private garden and he duly obliged. He has two "boisterous" dogs and they were running around while he was showing the three his garden.

Suddenly one of the women screamed "Hey! Your dogs got my knickers!"

John was wondering to himself, how did my dog get her knickers off?

It turned out that the woman always carried a spare pair of knickers in her coat pocket (as you do!) and John's dog must have seen it sticking out of her pocket, pulled it out and ran off with it.

It brought the house down at the talk. Smile Smile

For Bloomers, read 'Harvest Festivals' - all is safely gathered in.

I have had a great weekend in the garden and got quite a bit of tidying up done. I sorted out the herb garden and filled in an annoying dip in the lawn. That should make it easier to mow when the new grass comes through.

We actually sat outside for coffee this morning! These tulips are right next to the table. Aren't the colours fantastic. I thought the fritillaries looked lovely with the sun on them.

Just got back from a lovely day out at Antrim Castle Garden Show - with a car full of plants and some yummy cheese and cider.

Stopped off in Omagh for tea - that was yummy too! Very happy bunny. Very Happy

It is getting a lot more 'professional' in the show garden department. We had a chat with Ian Price, Designer of the Meditation Garden there. A lovely, simple design, very calming and quite do-able in a mere mortal garden!

I think this year's show is well worth a visit, if you don't have to travel too far. Oh, and don't worry I left some plants for you!

Sounds lovely Sue. We hope to go for Mayo Day over to Ballinrobe racecourse. All sorts of crafts and things. If it rains its a no no because I'm back to the crutches again

Sorry to hear that Margo. Same problem? Hope the day is fine for you.

Very wet underfoot at Antrim, even with the duck boards and trailer loads of bark chips. The racecourse may be the same. Don't do what I (and 90% of others) did, and wear trainers! Rolling Eyes

Sorry to hear that. These joints are a beggar aren't they?!

I am STILL waiting to see someone about my shoulder. Was told it was a one year waiting list in March 2016! My sister called the other day. She has a frozen shoulder (how mine started) saw her doctor last week, is seeing a consultant next week! Shocked Sooner those ejits at Stormont get back to work and start knocking heads together, the better! - I'm only ranting 'cos I'm in pain. Sad

Margo, hope you get some joy soon.
