hi all, have been mega busy killing myself, getting segs on my hands and some very very sore body parts over the last while. would like to say thanks for all the great articles on here, have helped a lot since i re-started gardening.
well we moved into the new home (not new but is to us..Smile) and the garden hadn't been touched for years and years so we had a big job ahead of us to get it into some sort of shape we could call a garden for us to enjoy. nothing special and only planted the normal pre bought paks of 6 etc as not got any where to grow things on at present. any way here are some before and after shots of the finished garden but have already started making plans to re arrange it...Sad LOL

What a difference some TLC makes, well done. Why are there two manhole covers so close together ? You've camouflaged them beautifully though.....

hi, thanks for your comments, they mean a lot.

the second manhole is for a down stairs bathroom, dont ask why they didnt just pipe into the original drain system though, although the whole house is like something that "jack built" LOL.

i have some more pics i will post when i get round to re-sizing them.

funny enough an OAP across the road from us was over the other day and was so over the moon with what we have done she wants me to design her garden for her. her husband passed on 3 yrs ago and her garden is in a bit of a mess, god love her. unfortunately its taken me all this time to tend ours with being ill i wont be taking her up on her offer....Sad

Congratulations and well done!

It is daunting to start from scratch, been there. It looks bright, pretty and cared for now.

How do you find the solar lights, if that's what the blue lights in your night shot are?

...........now you've done that, and perhaps caught the gardening bug what's next?

artalis Very Happy

thanks artails, considering i have a number of illnesses inc slipped discs i didnt do to bad....LOL

the blue lights are solar lights and have worked very well considering they were only €2 each from euro shop. one or two tend to go out earlier than the rest of them but apart from that they work fine. most of them on the left are now hidden by the plants getting so big so i will have to move them to a better position.

my next project has already started, in fact nearly finished as i type this. i am doing a pebble pool on the right hand side in front of the shed as this area gets no sun at all and is boggy all the time so after the pool has gone in i intend to turn the area into a woodland type area with plants to match with the pool in the middle.

the link below should take you to the pond section where i have logged progress with pictures....happy days.....Smile

Well done mralgae......I'm sure that garden puts a smile on your face every time you look at it, it is so cheerful. Good luck with the pool.
