I sowed broad beans for the first time this year and picked and ate some for the first time this evening.

There's an awful lot of work in shelling them

I think you may be right actually Sue, i had a look at the other bulbs and their foliage is different to the Hyacinth and there's no flower stalk (yet). Must have been one Hyacinth amongst the Alliums ...

I'm pretty certain I bought and planted Allium Purple Sensation in the autumn. These bulbs are flowering now but they don't look like purple sensation (from googling)

This plant is under a tree in my garden. Leaves look like ivy (to me) and flowers are purple. Only one flower left on it now.
