Ah- the mule is the product of two different species, so with gestation time give it 11 months or so and the male donkey and female horse will produce a new mule. Fiendishly clever.

I'm guessing deer, but the 11 month replacement rate is melting my head. We're not using genetic seed banks to get over the extinction issue are we?

Yay me!!!
They are indeed. By the by, I have seen three white-tailed (or white arses as we called them) queens already this year. A great sight seeing them looking for nests early in the year.
