You must live in an extremely mild area.

No. Not Spiraea.
Spiraea have leaves that are alternate on a twig.

Yes all pics are taken from one of our 2 shrubs.
Looking wonderful mid September.
That one was maybe 10ft across and the same high.
It grew large very quickly ...

Heptacodium miconioides ....seven son flower tree used to have 2 in our old garden Super leaves , flowers and flaking bark.

Thought you said it was hard!!!!

It is Fagus sylvatica ..common name Beech tree.
These are the seed pods known as Beech masts.
In the autumn they will split open to reveal brown seeds.
If fastigiate it will be Fagus sylvatica fa ...

Korean fir is Abies Koreana...a super slowish growing conifer. ....with super cones

Sorry avs0020.... but what ever plant has the blue flowers that you think is Clematis alpina it is most definitely not the same plant as the leaves you posted earlier.

Clematis leaves are trifoliat ...
