Hi all, I'm looking for an alternative to wooden fencing and someone mentioned a decorative painted metal fence to me but I haven't been able to track any suppliers down. I only need about 8-12 feet of fencing to cover a garden shed, I dont want the maintenance and rotting of a traditional wooden fence and I'm in quite a windy site. I also really want to grow climbers up the fence to soften the effect and from previous experience when I used a wooden trellis just as the plants really just started to mature the fencing let it down, i.e. fell apart! Does anyone have any ideas please? _________________ You can't improve on nature - often copied, but never equalled |

| it might not be what you are looking for, as it's not decorative, but if there are any places near you which sell stone, often the stone is delivered on a palette with the stone held on top in a steel (galvanised) mesh - the weave being about an inch or two. a lot of climbers will happily grow up it, and it's cheap, if you can find someone with some spare. a stone yard may have some they're discarding. |
