| I mix gardening with banjo. But I can't do the two together, hence my avatar. Get well soon! And seeing's how you've awakened to another beautiful day, Enjoy! Let me tell you that right now it is precipitating gently on my 'semi-arid Essex garden, so I've gone back to bed. And with the glowering sky overhead, I'm staying here.

precipitating gently sounds so much more pleasant than "coming down in stair rods"....which is what we seem to be getting all too often here with global warming.
i'm suddenly wistful for the "grand soft day"of the good old days.
thanks for the good wishes, and enjoy the banjo!

| Hi Verge, That sounds like a wonderfully simple idea, and very timely.....as I've just come indoors after a few hours gardening and as I tidied various beds I noticed that any plastic markers I had put into the soil had all faded. Isn't it the most beautiful day?

Heck verge that is one cool idea. Do I ever want to kick myself for not figuring it out years ago. I couldn't be bothered with the painting bit and I used a laundry marker (very permanent and a finer tip). PS. I'm also a poor penman.

Hi Everyone. I'm glad you like my clothes peg plant labels. I post something new about my gardening adventures every few days.
Hope you enjoy them.

Hi
I've just done my new labels today. I'm using a laminating pouches. The machine is not too deer and it looks good all together.
I only done mine today for a first time but soaking them in the water an hour now and they still fine.

| Could you explain a bit more, or show us a picture? Not quite sure what you mean.

I use a laminator machine and a4 pouches, but a5 size will be good as well. You can get one in any good stationery shop. I've written mine by hand but they might look good as well printed, if you fancy you could print out a name and picture of the flower as well...
then I place the pieces of paper inside pouch (it comes as two pieces of clear plastic sicked together by one end). make sure you leave enough space around each label to cut them and have some extra for piercing. When they are cut out and pierced I put them through machine again to make sure the edges are sealed.
And this is pretty much it.
