hi hawthorn, isn't it an amazing time of the year for spiders, they seem to be everywhere. if you are getting any of these recent night-time fogs, rush out in the morning light and photograph the massive webs covered in droplets of moisture. they are stunningly beautiful.

With the "Indian summer" there has been a flurry of insect activity in my garden as well.
