This my latest project , its a small garden in Dublin overlooked on 3 sides
We knocked the wall at the back and saved the rubble for the base of the patio
the old trellis was taken off the walls
the walls were painted Magnolia
new heavy duty trellis was put up and the base for the circular patio was put in
the new wall was next and infilled with grit
starting the circle
where' s the champagne
some simple planting

Nice one.
Once again creating many seating areas to take advantage of the sun throughout the day.
Whose product did you use on the rotunda paved area?
Is there a seaside influence, as I think I see some fishermans rope at the base of the tree? _________________ If you benefited from irishgardeners.com, please link to us or tell others, so that the site can grow and benefit more gardeners.

The circular patio is from Bradstone and sold by Roadstone , the wall is called Madoc . However be warned , this patio is sold by roadstone as the 3 metre circle , I built the wall to exactly 3 metres and laid the patio from the middle out , only to find that the Bradstone 3 metre circle is in fact 2.8 metres , so every thing had to come out and be rebuilt . The temperature that day was 30 degrees c. I was not a happy camper
the customer spends a lot of time by the sea and picks up a lot of seaside stuff

Fine work Bugs. I like the way you recycled the wall for use as a patio base. What is the patio laid on, is that sand and cement or just plain sand. Lovin the photos of your work by the way.

Great garden work Mr Bugs. I much more prefer the circular paved patio to the angular decking. Is that large tree a sycamore.

Thanks Cooler and Sb , the mix for the base is a dry sand / grit ...cement mix of 5 grit / 1cement , the tree is a Sycamore which causes me no end of problems in Winter ( I also do the maintenance on this garden ) The customer keeps it for sentimental reasons .

Funny, before I recent your most recent post, I was thinking you'd be such a good teacher. It's one thing to see a garden already done and hear about how it came to be, but another altogether to actually see how it's done.

Yes I think its great to be able to see all the ins and outs of a garden project through pictures. Thanks for posting that bugs. It was good the way you saved the ivy on the shed. _________________ Q. What is the best soil for growing plants?
