Hi there. I hardly ever see sweet potato plants for sale and absolutely love SP!! I have never tried to grow them and know next to nothing about how to do it. In the mean time my SP in my food cupboard have sprouted. Can I (1) grow from a chitted potato and (2) can I do something with them in October and, if yes to the first 2 questions, how do I proceed? Thanks so much |

There is a guy in kilkenny growing them for Lidl. I think his name is Michael Fitzgerald, I heard this from klaus laitenberger, you could contact him for details of the supplier and information on growing them for our climate. |

You can grow from sprouted potato. They need warmth for growing and I have seen the plants (vines) fir sake in a garden centre in Blessington this year and last year |

My doctor told me only yesterday that I should be eating these instead of the standard spud.
And no cereal.
And no bread in any form.
And no pasta.
And no rice.
And no salt.
And no sugar.
Kill me now. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”
