Just taking a break from putting down some stone at the side of the house. The 'lawn' there has never been good. So I have given up trying. It will be somewhere to sit and watch the sunset.
Seen just the shed I want and Dave said it would cost almost as much to build it from scratch (good stuff that scratch, you can make a lot of things from it ) Slight problem - it seems they don't deliver 'off shore'! It's Fermanagh people not half way up the Orinoco!
So that's what I'm up to, and you?

Set the garden on fire here today. Major panic as it was heading for a neighbours house. Almost called the fire brigade I was that worried. Called a friend over and he helped me extinguish it. I was absolutely bolloxed and not the better for it I can tell you.

I can imagine! That's a pretty drastic way of weeding! I wish I could send you some of the rain we've had recently.

Very effective though, haha.
We haven't rain in 6 weeks or more. Farmers are feeding their stock with their winter feed already. No grass anywhere only scorched earth. Supposed to get a bit of rain tonight here.

I managed to get 3 1/2 tonne of stone shifted today - just before the rain started. It's persisting down now.
Good God I'm tired! Dave's going to give me a back massage - he's just asked where's the horse liniment? He's joking .... I think?!
Hope you get some rain soon. Just enough to fill the rain barrels.

Rain? What's that?
Did you mean pissing down?

Rain - damn wet stuff filling the drive
Yup, ppp per persisting - raining harder than just pissing down!

Had to burn the weeds off so as the tractor driven picker could work. No mashed or boiled spuds this year, all pre roasted! !! Sam would have been €1500 I'm told. Was very close to ringing him. Fire got out of control.
