Haven't done a tap in the glasshouse since last October. Left it alone and all the plants from last year are all there in various stages of decay and the glass is in dire need of a wash. Just don't have the time to put into it this year plus I was ill around the time that I should have been doing the preparatory works.
Last night I went in there to get something and surprise surprise there is a strawberry plant doing quite well for itself. Loads of fruit and approx. 15 ready to pick. Not one drop of water has this plant received yet it is doing well. How so? The swiss chard has bolted and is as tall as myself and there are a few small tomatoe plants. The rest is dead. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”
