OK I will let you off this time. I judge cold by ice on the pond - so far nothing.

Thought I would revive this thread to see how you are all coping with this lovely weather and post some photies.
No snow here but bitterly cold wind. The pond is frozen over for the first time.
Dave and I went to the gym in Ballyshannon today - found it 'closed until one', so we headed out to Rossnowlagh to take some pictures. Slieve League has no snow (that we can see) but as you pan west towards the Gap it appears and gets thicker.
Down on the beach we saw a sight we had never seen before - ice 'waterfalls', very pretty but you can hear the rock shattering and bits falling off!
Back in the garden, my poor hellebores are flat on the ground. They were so nice last week. I hope this is just temporary and that they will perk up again when the thaw comes.
Keep warm, stay safe.

Views around the house. Drifts are anything up to 1.5m.
First, out the front. Second, view from the back door, note the blue wheelie bin. Third photo looking out the back from upstairs. Fourth, looking up the drive.

This was my mothers homeplace, nobody has lived there for nearly 50 years now. Me and the mutt on the way down to my cousins farm this morning to give him a helping hand. These little calves were glad of a feed, a drink and a fresh bed today.

Wheelie bin, what wheelie bin? Crikey T that's some snowdift on your car!
We called out to see June this morning. She was sheltering from the easterly behind a wall. She came out for her carrot and apple and a bowl of mollichop (not sure if that's how you spell it) and stood wiggling her ears and tossing her head. She hates the wind in her ears.
We are just so pleased that we managed to get her a coat. No donkey should be out in this weather. They are desert mountain animals, their coats aren't up to cold, wet weather. She's lovely and toasty under the rug.

That's sweet Margo. It reminds me of some lines from a Samuel Taylor Coleridge sonnet, ' And Winter, slumbering in the open air wears on his smiling face, a dream of Spring'
