I thought I'd post a recent picture of this bed. It is at the end of the terrace I had constructed a couple of years ago. Other than the witchazel and the mahonia (extreme right, just a few leaves showing) all the planting is new. It has given great value all year, from the first crocus and daffy until now. It's a fairly cool but not sheltered location, only getting summer afternoon sun. In winter it will get lots of wind and rain. I'm really pleased with how well it has worked.
