Hi guys.
We've recently purchased a house in East Clare, a renovated old farmhouse. It's surrounded by mature trees, but in the middle of the garden seems to be a tree, (I think it's oak, but it's small, plus I'm an city girl with little to no knowledge of trees) and all the leaves seem to have a blight or something. I've tried researching online, and have called the tree council of Ireland, and the local Teagasc guy but he said it'll take months for him to look into it... Any idea what it could be? There's a few oak trees within the boundary, including loads of ash, elder, and fir trees. I'd rather know if it's something to worry about the rest of the trees getting.
Thanks

I really would not be too worried about this it could be Antracnose caused by a fungus, leaves will fall soon and it should be all right next year. If you want to stop the spread collect the leaves and burn them. it wont spreads to other trees.
Caused by wet summer ah well this is Ireland after all.
