Help needed please!
Does anyone know of a supplier of hardy ferns in Ireland, preferably in the Donegal region? _________________ Irish wildflowers |

Thanks for the reply.........
What I really need is somewhere that can supply and deliver a good quantity of largish ferns to Donegal.......that's why I wondered if there were any more specialist suppliers out there? _________________ Irish wildflowers |

Hi Jenny S
I can't help it, I just have to be nosey....
Is this for a job in the area?
Do you need them to be full size now or would you have time to grow them on?
Reason I ask is (apart from the nose) is that you could get fern plugs in bulk and grow tham on to full size. It would save you heaps of money if you were not in a rush or had a customer that didn't want an instant garden.
I'll got back to you in a bit...my dinners ready.
Cheers

Not quite there yet, another five minutes .
A bit out of the way in Cork but they do free delivery: I haven't had any dealings with them though

If it's wholesale you are looking at.
This is a UK site but they do the plugs. Again I have had no dealings with them but they are worth a look.

If it's retail plants you are looking for I have some contacts up here in Inishowen that I could put you in touch with .......
Cheers

Hi - no its not for me......
Someone contacted me via the wildflower website - he's designing a fern garden for a client in Donegal and is trying to source native and hardy non-native ferns over here rather than from the UK.
I suggested plugs but he's looking for larger ones........ _________________ Irish wildflowers |

If you happen to find someone who can supply ostrich ferns, can you let me know? I'd pay good money to have some "fiddleheads" in my garden, just like at home.
I've looked but it appears they are not easily available in garden centres. |
