Hi all,
Question:
What is Landscape Management Plan and how to write it? Are there any guidelines?
All I know is that sometimes it's needed for your planning application.
I will be grateful for any help and directions on where to look for information. I've checked county council web and dep of housing web... |

If you are making a planning application I suggest you contact a landscape designer and ask them to do it. They are well practised in such work. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I got around one of those one time by sending in a letter saying that I was keeping all the local native flora intact and not being disturbed on the boundaries. No new plants were being planted and existing ones were not being dug up.
What you do in a year or two's time doesn't seem to come under the spotlight. _________________ .

Don't know how it differs in the South, but at the moment I'm doing an 'Artist's Impression' of a house for a local Architect. The site plan has details of trees to be planted - birch, bird cherry and other 'natives', and a lot of blurb about how they must be replaced if they die in the first few years.
A few years back a neighbour grubed out the old hedge and pleaded ignorance when they found out. He had to 'replace' the hedge with native trees but planted them ten foot back from the road to keep his line of sight - a BIG problem with our old pre-planning regs. house. Just what he wanted all along!
Problems came later when our lovely next door neighbours wanted to build their house. They were told under NO circumstances could they remove so much as one tree and they had to put their drive right around the back of our house from a side lane - cost them a small fortune and delivery drivers can never find them!? _________________ Be humble, for you are made of earth
