As a 'freebie' with my 2017 seed order I've received a quite sizeable packet of this seed, stated on the packet as a 'Green Manure and Biofumigant'. I'm unlikely to use it for that purpose but, on a Canadian site, it was said to be edible as 'greens' but no details. Does anyone know if it has a food value? If so, how is it used? _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Thanks, Tippben. Funnily enough that was the site I found too, but no tips on how to use them.
Runner beans en route tomorrow all being well.. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Try using it as you would spinach or the tops of young turnips - steamed, in a stir fry or just wilted with a little butter, perhaps. |
