Hi all,
Planning my new garden, and I've fallen in love with a tree called Cornus Capitata. It also has a few other names: evergreen dogwood, himalayan strawberry tree, or Bentham's Cornel. There are a handful of Mature specimens growing around Cork.
I've contacted a few garden centres, but they don't have it, trying to sell me Cornus Kousa instead, but it's not evergreen.
Anybody know where I might get a Cornus Capitata?

As an idea, and depending what part of the Rebel county you're from, there's a firm called Future Forests near Kealkill. They have a web site so it may be productive to email them.
If you know where the existing trees are, the owners may allow you to take a couple of cuttings, especially if they happen to be pruning in the winter. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Sorry to have overlapped with KS but at least great minds think alike? Good luck with your quest. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Yes, good luck. The natives are pretty friendly at this time of year. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

I can vouch for that, they even serve up tea and biscuits. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”
