In the boot of the car, with one of thise grid things to keep him in there.
Gartan is very clean (it's a water supply source) and has a gravelly shore so he's never more than wet. |

OK. I only ask cos my terrier goes almost everywhere with me and the smell in the van is definitely of him. I give him a wash approx. once a fortnight and he doesn't get to visit rivers and mucky ground. Generally a clean dog i have to say. But the smell in the van hits me every time I get into it. In fairness though there are days when he can spend a few hours in there. He has never soiled the vehicle. Ever. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I suppose it's a case of "Like your dog, like its smell!" - within reason, anyway. A good cleaning of the boot with the mini Dyson helps. |

Sue - If you want to see the disastrous effects of carbon black (not suggesting you do) there's a village in Romania called Copsa Mica that produces the stuff. All the village works there. Everything is black except the top inch of the grass. Average life expectancy = 37. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Sometimes we decry Health and Safety legislation (rightly, I think, when it is misused as an excuse by lazy officials) but when you see the consequences if unregulated industry, its a different story. Im thinking of deaf fextile workers, pottery workers with silicosis or lead poisoning, asbestos workers with cancer..... The list goes on.
Workers need protection from greedy capitalists as well as from themselves. |

Where I lived four neighbours had to retire early due to respiratory problems and two died of throat/lung cancers. They all worked at the same place as OH. OH's dad worked there and had yearly health checks, paid for by the firm, long after he retired. _________________ Be humble, for you are made of earth
