Are my trusses set yet?

can someone tell me if my trusses are set yet, i am growing a few tomato plants inside and i am unsure if the plants are ready for tomato feed yet. i have read that you should start feeding you plants when the trusses have set. the first trusses have small fruits and some flowers aswell, e.g, (one truss has a few fruits as well as flowers that haven't fallen off yet,) so do i have to wait for all the flowers to fall off that first truss or can i start feeding the plants now. i will introduce myself at a later stage. Thanks.

It wont matter a lot in the long run if you have a few of both flowers and immature fruit on the truss when you begin to feed. Technically though the first truss has set when the yellow tomato flowers have gone and you can see tomatoes beginning to form, then it’s time to start feeding at least weekly. I say go ahead and feed if the fruits are starting to take on a tomato like look. No point in leaving them behind and miserable whilst waiting for more flowers to change to fruit.

As to the incomplete flower to fruit set, if your plants are indoors they may benefit from a gentle shake to dislodge the pollen, thus aiding fruit set.

Thanks very much BLACKBIRD, after my topic being view around 40 times and no one willing to reply, i was beginning to wonder if i was in the right place at all. Thanks for your advice its much appreciated, i just wasn't sure about the term "Trusses Set". Very Happy

I have just been reading COLLINS PRACTICAL GARDNER and they say, start feeding your tomato plants, from the moment the flowers start to appear. Confused
