Bloom is not a show about gardens or gardening, It's a trade show selling a lifestyle to the great unwashed masses of sheeple (GUMS) and as you know alternative lifestyles are in vogue at the moment, hence the red alien and the proliferation of sofas with cushions in the exhibits so you can sit down and digest all those overpriced gourmet sausages and burgers they sell there. My primary reason for being there was to get some primulas to add to my collection. _________________ my blog |

My mistake. My bad. I read that good guy put up the photos as he said he was going. Hence the welcome to Leinster comment, relating back to an earlier post of his, in case you missed it Mews. I hope your primula collection was enhanced. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I had a very enjoyable day out. It was great being able to visit so many good trade exhibits all in the one place and I saw some interesting ideas in some of the show gardens. I spent €30 on plants: alpines, sempervivums and ferns, varieties which I wouldn't have been able to buy locally. |

It's south of you and you can purchase the flowers you wanted which you couldn't do in nordie land and we are not infested with those worms either. I could go on and on but it is just too easy. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I could probably have got all those plants at various nurseries/garden centres in Northern Ireland but that would have meant depriving our capital city of my gracious presence.
And have you seen the exchange rate lately? |

If you had of bought them in N. I. then you would have been depriving the republic of some much needed revenue. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”

Yes, and I did my patriotic duty, helping to pay off a few bankers.
And I'm happy for you that your team won. Who were they playing? |

i was there sun and mon, on one of the stands on 'conservation row'; we were told yesterday to pack up at about 11am, and we were glad to do so. we'd have ended up airborne otherwise. |
