Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to remove those unsightly weeds from a lawn ? I did treat the lawn with one of those liquid feed and weed treatments by watering can about two days ago, but if that doesn't work any suggestions ? (Funny thing is though that the weeds are now flurishing, though I suspect that is normal for the treatment.)

First of all read this if you have not received rain yet on the treated lawn 3 IN 1 Lawn feed, grass has a white effect, no rain. . Then read the cultural control methods as well as other control methods for weeds included in this section Weeds of the Garden in Ireland - Prevention and Control.

Allow about 7 days from the watering/rainfall for the weedkiller to work before mowing again.
One of the best ways of keeping the lawn weed free is regular mowing (approx every 5 days) allied to regular fertilising (approx 3 times a growing season).

You could be right. I treated it two days ago and since then there has been no rain. I'll water the lawn too tonight when I do the flowerbeds and take it from there. Some of them are small enough to dig out so I might try that also, but the Dandalions will need something more.

Cheers.
