Has anybody any experience on growing Gourds in Ireland?

I have grown a packet of mixed Gourds that I bought in Lidl last year, and the seedlings are becoming quite large now.

I'm afraid if I divide them up, & put them out in the garden, that the cold will be too much for them.

Does anybody have any advice, as I'd really like to have the decorative fruits in the garden this year, as they look great

Also, should I start feeding them?

Sory for the question Tobar but what are these? Are they like pumpkins.

Never grew them myself Tobar. But most will safely grow between the zones 4-9. You will be even safer if you live on the outer areas of Ireland close enough to the warming sea. Hopefully all our frosts have passed, but you should still gradually move your plants from indoors to out.

Thanks for that Tobar. They seem similar to pumpkins and I had no problems growing them. A bit like cucumbers and marrows as well.

Great, just don't want to put them out & have them go the same way as my Garden Peas last month, they all shrivelled & vanished within a week or two
