My fastest cuttings are from vines like honeysuckle that are hard stemmed at this time of year. Put some sugar into the water and leave in warm sunny window. Cut at an angle and change water or top up with fresh from time to time.
Once feathery trails begin plant into moist potting sandy loam and keep in greenhouse until fully sprouting new growth.
That's my method for periwinkle, fushia, forsythia for forcing 100% certain results.
As for skymia, make sure not to let cuttings get rotten from overwater. |

How interesting.....I've been layering honeysuckle, but your method sounds much faster....thanks for that. By the way what is the purpose of the sugar...? |
