Ideas for a Naas time, anyone?

I will have most of a day to spend, late in January, hanging around Naas. I don't know the area, so I'm looking for ideas about places to go. I went to the Japanese Gardens and to the National Stud many years ago and don't want to go back., so I'm open to suggestions.

1. Go visit my cousin.
2. Hop over to Newbridge and there is some sort of a film memorabilia museum there. Don't know the exact name of it.
3. Go see Greengage, I'm sure you will find plenty to talk about.
4. My one worry is that after your visit to Geranimojess as well that you are getting further and further south in your travels. My door will be firmly shut should you come a knocking!

Visit the Allotments in Walshestown.
Walk along the canal from Robertstown to Lowtown or the one in Naas.
Newbridge cutlery has a museum of Style, the Whitewater or go to Kildare the Village thats all tretail therapy.
The curragh of Kildare and the military museum on camp.
Straffan steam museum and gardens.
The K club have a look around the grounds.
Mondello park for a spin in a fast car.
Johnstown garden centre.
Celbridge garden centre
If you have acces to car you could drive the gorden bennett route or travel across the wicklow and sally gaps if the weather is good.
Sure theres so much to do thats without meeting me for coffee.

Even walk the Naas branch of the Grand Canal to Sallins- nice pub for lunch at the bridge in Sallins. On the way back you could detour (onto the main canal heading west) past the Leinster Aqueduct and allotments at Walshestown, before turning back and heading back down the Naas branch. A nice half day walk in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies, folks. As I'll be driving back to Donegal later in the day, I'm inclined to go for the less strenuous options! But a canal-side stroll sounds good and who could resist a new (to me, that is - I've only used them for mail order) garden centre. I may p.m. you nearer the time about that coffee and a natter, Greengage.
