| Can anyone advise me whether a new garden that has soil with few worms in it will acquire a worm population naturally? The earth obviously got quite compacted by builder's machinery when our house was being built a year ago. |

| Thanks for the link, it was good to read of other people's experiences. I am already adding compost to all the beds to increase organic material. I have some isolated beds....ie those against the house, and I suspect I will have to help nature a little there! Preferably when no one is looking or they'll think I'm mad! |
