Fascinating Greengage.
Can you revisit to add more pics.
It seems to have a single flower....coming from the leaf axil and near the round stipule/bract on the stem.
I would love to see a single flower...what colour is it......how many petals...what does it look like??????
Interesting shape leaves.
Are the leaves in 3's or am I seeing things.
Driving me nuts.

Whatever illness you have you must have been infected by Good Guy, it is called punitis.

Well done, SS! You must be good at asking google the right questions, though. Pre-supposes a good botanical training and a sharp eye for the essential detail.

Thank you Good guy. That was a very kind thing to say.
That was what I meant....you have to study the pic....look....really look ..find all the clues you can.......
Is it deciduous or evergreen.
Is it short or tall.
Is it upright or does it trail along the ground.
Are the leaves opposite or alternate.
What shape are the leaves.
How long are the leaf stalks
There were no sign on the round things to indicate that they had been female or male flowers therefore what could they be ... round stipules or bracts at the base of the leaves?
What colour are the petals.
How many petals.
What shape are the flower.
etc etc.
Once I id a plant I like to surf www to find accurate links to add.
Hopefully a little of the knowledge will rub off on others.
Hardy a day goes past that I don't learn something new.
The more I learn the more I realise just how little I know!
