Hi people. I've been lurking for a while and decided it was time to join.
Moved into a house in Dublin with a 50 meter long garden 2 years ago and while it looks like someone loved it once, it was a jungle. Cleared a spot last year for some veg and fruit and tripled it this year.
Huge amount of work still to do to be anywhere near what I want but that's half the joy I think
I will be posting pics to try and identify some of the inherited trees, shrubs etc and hopefully some of you can be of help there.
While I'm fairly new to this horticultural thingy I hope I may be of help the odd time
Thanks |

Hello overworked and welcome. Just a quick question, were you classifying yourself as overworked before you started the garden or since you started clearing it? If the former then you are in trouble!!! As you will need a few more adjectives to describe your situation. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”

Yes Greengage I have to plant some spuds tonight and am heading off for a few days tomorrow so will post a few photos early next week.
Tagwex, mainly overworked in the garden though I have a full time job and a 5 year old boy. He wasn't the greatest veg eater until the potatoes, mange toutes and cauliflowers 'he' planted were put in front of him. Enough of a reason to keep planting
Thanks all for the interest |
