I recently heard that most plants sold in Ireland are grown in compost treated with pesticides which is damaging our native insect life. Anyone know where i could buy pesticide free plants? |

I think the best people to ask about that would be...
The Organic Centre.
Rossinver.
Co Leitrim.
Telephone...071 9854338.
I have been there several times and they have Catalogues...Brochures on everything you need to know...they also do Seeds and Plants and run Courses...Give them a ring I'm sure it would be worth your while...

Surely if you take the plant out of the pot and plant it in your compost/soil it will be pesticide free. |

I very much doubt if anyone is supplying them on wholesale basis it would not be worth it economically, some smaller suppliers or cottage nurseries may be doing it.
The only one I know of would be Mount venus nurseries in Dublin.

Hope this gets me a discount on my next visit. |
