We have a small area of front garden which needs minimal screening from neighbours.
Maybe a climber but one which is neat and will provide some cover during summer months. South facing area.
I don't want to use ivy or anyhing that would intrude too much/need constant pruning. The area would be 6 x 6 feet approx.
Flowering an added bonus. Any ideas welcome.

Neglected to mention that we have a rambling rose growing in close proximity and would be pot planting the climber.
I had thought maybe Jasmin (summer cover important) |

Ive always found Trachelospemum a hard plant to grow.
It hates frost / Irish winters and is a real slow grower
An alternative to Trachelospemum would be:
Clematis armandii (handle with care)
&
Jasmines |

Only just seen this post....... a big NO to Clematis Armandii.....far too vigorous, and will get totally out of control and be a huge nuisance. I've warned you.....! |
