Well I have heard it said so many times over the years and wasn't quite sure that it could be as true as people make it out to be but I can tell you without fear it is. I shall explain - many many times I have heard people say that there is no such taste off the veg like your own and that commercially grown is so bland and rife in the supermarkets.
This evening we decided to pull a few carrots just to see how they were doing, Autumn King, so still a little on the small side but OMG the flavour, it was unreal. Never tasted anything like it. Somehow all the toil since May might seem to be worth it. We are converted, alleluia! _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. So am I. Just hope the rest of the crops are as good. There are some sweetcorn out there looking very ripe and in danger of not seeing next week! _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child.
