Hi Folks
I am a novice gardener and am new on this forum. My garden has very poor clay soil. I know this from my research into the kinds of weeds that grow there. However, this plant is not thriving at all, so I have added well rotted horse manure (2 years old) and am adding fish blood and bone today.
If it is a pumpkin, it should perk up. If it is a cucumber I better move it indoors before the cold weather comes! Any help appreciated
Thanks
Joanna

Hi there, thanks for that. I think they are pumpkin too. I did Google image them, but the plants are very similar and I could not work it out.
Cheers

Hi Greenage, Is there any point in allowing this pumpkin to grow then? Will the frost just kill it anyway?

Hi There, hope you don't mind me joining in. If i were you, I would probably leave this pumpkin for the time being and wait until next year.

frost will kill it as there is too much water in the tissue even inside it is unlikly to survive. So start again next march growing inside before planting out.
