I know this is a pretty daft sounding question, but has anyone on here ever heard of such a thing as a yellow flowered heather? Shocked

Heathers with yellow foliage yes, but yellow flowers......the reason I'm asking is that someone sent me on a photo that I couldn't identify, and I've just heard that its maybe a yellow-flowered species of erica...... Exclamation

Yellow mountain heath possibly..... http://biology.burke.washington.edu/herbarium/imagecollection.php?ID=5675
If you can post up a picture of your particular plant, then we may discover a bit more Jenny.

Hi GPI, and thanks for the reply.
Here are some photos of the plant in question.....

The general appearance in the second photo does look like Erica carnea - but the flowers .........? Surprised

Yes, it was found growing wild in the south of Ireland - garden escape and definitely non-native!

Question is, what is it?...... Confused
