i'm thinking of building a conservatory onto my kitchen. But instead of using
it as a traditional conservatory i was going to use it as a greenhouse.
my main reason is that i can use a garden hose to water everything and not worry about the damage/dampness. so i'm looking for your opinions on this?

i know there should be plenty of ventilation. should i go to the trouble of heating it and if so, should i use normal l radiators or under floor water heating.

i've always wanted a botanic garden that i could potter around in while it's raining outside & i dont have space for a garden.

My biggest concern would be to prevent dampness from all that splashed about water from entering the living part of the house. A good damp proof course would have to be installed between the new consevatory and the existing house. You will need ventilation as well of course but also adjustable sheilding or shading from the harsh summer sun through glass.
