Desiree spuds, planted I think first week of May. Opinel no. 7 for scale
Wedges I made from Desiree I dug up yesterday, not the ones above, same variety though. Think an extra ten minutes in the oven wouldn't have hurt, they were tasty though!

Grew this variety for the 2nd year myself, there a lovely spud and a good yelder unfortunately had a lot of slug damage this year.

Two of my spuds have had slug damage so far. I did completely dig one top, but also felt around through the mounded soil on a few others for bigger spuds. |

I Have grown desiree for the past few years and have a lot of success with them. I love the flavour of them and although I had a poor yield this year compared to previous years they were still the best yield.
PS the wedges look delicious. |
