Seriously, these have just appeared at the bottom of our (very big) mint plant.

Aren't they strange looking?



Any idea what they are?

They are mint runners, quite common in members of the mint family.
If that plant was in open ground it would spread like wildfire by using these.

Probably best to cut them back then! It's the only herb in the garden I never use!

Definitely. Keep it in the pot by the way, don’t ever be tempted to transplant it into a bed. Same goes for Lemon balm.
