Any one know what this is, I had to search hard for this I know what it is and I will tell you where it is growing as a prize for identification.

I'm thinkin it looks like a Brachyglotis of some sort but I don't think they would enjoy the same conditions as the gunnera and rodgersia. After a little googling I may have it , is it Olearia insignis it certainly looks like it.

Good stuff! As we are in that part of the world, how about an ident for this plant? I used to sell them, well, correction, I had them for sale. No-one wanted to buy them though... they thought they were creepy:)

Its an interesting plant.. More of a collectors item i think.

Its a bit of a curiosity but Ive seen them in a couple of gardens recently.
Maybe you wer not charging enough for them.

I love Arisarum proboscideum. It spreads to form large clumps of lush green leaves in a shady woodland area... yet is not invasive.
The tiny "mice" are completely hidden under the leaves.
You have to rummage to see them.
I thought it would be a wonderful teaching aid plant for children.
Double your prices, have a large pot full for display purposes, add a picture and sell as a wonderful, interesting,unusual curiosity plant!

Good stuff. I think it was the way I demonstrated how the "mice" seemed to jump out at you to customers... My selling techniques can sometimes be a bit odd.. I'd boil up sedums (stonecrop) to show people they were edible.. I generally ate them on my own.
I'll have to have a look around and see if there's anything that'll stump you..
