Can anyone help me to identify this tree?
It's most distinctive feature are its bright yellow leaves.
The head is quite open and the leaves are complex, like an ash leaf but narrower and fussier and angled upwards.
Photo won't attach for some reason, I'll keep trying...
I've done some googling which suggests it might be a pecan, honey or locust, walnut, ash or hickory tree. Probably looks most like a locust tree to my untrained eye but I'm not at all sure!
Many thanks,

Gosh, do you still have those in Ireland?
Over here they are virtually all dead.
Very sad. It was a tree that glowed. |

In the absense of more details the description could fit a false acacia (which has wicked thorns) or laburnum (which has seed like peapods) And as others suggest there are many exotics with yellow leaves which otherwise look like an ash. Good luck with the quest. _________________ Retired trouble-maker. twitters @walltoall and dreams of being promoted to Pedunculate Oaker. |

Thanks everyone, I can't get the pic I have to upload but I think it lacks sufficient detail anyway given that it was taken from the car! I need to stop and get out and have a closer look.
I'll post some more if I get mroe detail. |
