Hi,
I'm not a gardener yet (just bought my own with a house attached a few years ago) but am keen to know what should and shouldn't be in it. This weed (Picture 1) is creeping along patio block lines and has created a blanket (which lifts off quite easily) in a couple of pots. It has a rubbery/waxy feel. I noticed it last summer only. Could anyone ID it please, and, importantly, how to treat it? I've asked a few experienced gardeners to no avail yet. I tried Roundup but it didn't have much effect -- the weed diminished slightly but is still spreading.
Picture 2 is of a small green 'umbrella' weed -- I'm curious to what it is and again how to treat it.
Many thanks,
Ollie.

Wow, thank you both. That's brilliant. Time to get out the knife and start scraping. Hopefully there's something that can be sprayed on aswell (vinegar maybe, or a patio cleaning/moss removing product perhaps). At least I know what it is and can go from there.
Thanks again.
Ollie.
