Got permission off a farmer to quarry some weathered limestone in some of his fields.
Put some of the rock into a trough the other day and this is the result.
Plants are;
5 Saxifrages,
Potentilla Nitida Rubra,
Erysimum Amoenium,
Helichrysum Pagophilum,
Asyneuma Pulvinatum,
Antennaria Dioica Minima,
Anchusa Cespitosa,
& Petunia Patagonica.

Hi Sive,
Half come from local farmers' fields or rivers that run through their land. True!
Alleys in Dundrum must be the best value garden centre in the country.
Future Forests in Kealkill are the salt of the earth.
Chris Pattison in Gloucestershire is the BEST value nurseryman on the planet.
And I got the Lewisias in Woodies for €2.50 each, so they cost me €15.00. I bought them on impulse. I normally prefer not to use chain stores.
Believe it or believe it not, I'm not into shrubs or individual flowers. I prefer banks of Colour, Shapes & Structure.
If you ever escape from Wexford and are wandering aimlessly around County Limerick, I can give you spare plants that I have in pots. _________________ .
