Are the smallest of seed potatoes realy viable to sow in drills or would i be better off to grow a few together in bags or containers. They are first earlys (home gaurds) and there was quite a few in a 5kg bag.
smaller than a golf ball say.

the small sized seed potatoes are fine, 1.5--1.75 inches (3.5--4 cms) are fine as long as there is 2-3 shoots or sprouts. Smaller seed with fewer shoots produces smaller numbers but bigger potatoes.
