I have some compost with weevils in it. Can I add it to the garden? My thinking is that the weevils must already be in the garden, or else they couldn't have infected the compost, and there's been no sign of problems in the open ground. I don't want to use Provado, and it'd be cheaper to get fresh compost than nematodes. I don't want to have to drag the compost up to a farm and dump it! |

they tend to prefer very fibrous 'open' compost, in my experience, so won't do nearly as well in a more 'soily' mix. |

Are you sure they are weevils if so toss them on to the soil and let the birds feed on them. The above post is correct in the soil conditions they prefer. |
