Hi
I'm new to this forum but hope to get some good advice (' ')
I sprouted Delphinium (Blue Fountains) from seed this year, startting in February as suggested on the packed.
I have about 12 two inch plants at this stage but they are very delicate. They look very sorry for themselves in comparison to Delphiniums for sale in the garden centres. They are still indoors although quite hardened at this stage. I wouldn't dare to plant them out yet. It is hard to imagine that they will flower this year at all.
I wonder what I might have done wrong to give my Delphiniums such a slow start. Could too much water do it? To add insult to injury, on the "Greenmount Garden" this spring they sprouting Delphiniums from seed, long after I had started mine, and claimed that they would flower this year.
Are there any tips you could give me.
Thanks |
