Hi all I planted turnips a month ago and some of them are starting to flower. Should I nip off the flowering shoots are leave them alone?
Thanks |

if your turnips are flowering now they have bolted and will not produce an edible bulb. You sowed the seed far too early. While the temperatures were alright for germination the temperatures were not right for growth, though we did have warm weather. The day length may not have been long enough for them or they may have been a main crop variety rather than an early variety. You are still on time to sow main crop turnips.
