I am going to be away for a few days and I am worried about all the things I have in my greenhouse. How have people dealt with this issue? I have seen a a water wick watering kit in B&Q and was wondering if anyone has had any experience of using these sorts of products?
Or, do I have to ask a neighbour to do the watering? I dont want to be a pain.
Thanks for all the help, it is so good to have this forum as I wouldnt know who else to ask!

I was away for 4 days last week. Before I went I watered everything very well and hoped for the best. It turned out to be fine and the plants seem to grow even bigger when I was not there!!
I will be going away for two weeks at the end of May and I have paid a friend of mine to come in to the garden every 2nd day to water and feed (if necessary)the plants, cut the lawns etc. I have done this for the past few years and it has worked well. If any of the soft fruits get ripe before I get home, my friend has free reign to take what he wants. Also because he is being paid and not doing a favour he takes the responsibility very seriously.
Hope this is of some help |
