Would anyone be interested in a seed swap from Canada? I would like to get some Blackhawthorn, Hazel, Killarney strawberry tree seeds. Also wildflower seeds, and or any other interesting native seeds to Ireland. As far as what I have to trade, I have Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seeds, Canadian wildflower seeds ect, just let me know what you are looking for... if it is a common plant that grows in Canada I should be able to get it for you if I do not already have it _________________ If bees stay at home, rain will soon come,

Don't know if I want to swap any seeds but if you can let know exactly what your after I'll send what I can.
Can I just go into a garden center and pick these up, Or will I have to get them off the trees ???? _________________ there are 3 types of people in the world, those that can count and those that can't... |

I am mostly looking for blackthorn/sloe and or Killarney strawberry. I shure don't want you to go out of your way for them but if you have any around you and feel like picking some of the tree that would be great! I don't know if there would be any berries on the tree's this time of year though? _________________ If bees stay at home, rain will soon come,

I do know where there is a good few Blackthorn and hazel trees so they should not be a problem. I also know where there is loads of wild strawberries growing but not sure if they are the right type. All I know is the berries are very small on them.
I do a bit of fishing where 2 of these places are so I'll keep an eye out for them but a PM later on in the year would also be helpful _________________ there are 3 types of people in the world, those that can count and those that can't... |

Hi Natas, I think BeeWrangler means the Killarney Strawberry tree....Arbutus Unedo. I don't know if that's what you mean by "wild strawberries". |

Hi Bee Wrangler,
Can I suggest that you look up the 'irish seed savers' website and you will be amazed at what you can get there, and I know from experience that they are very helpful. They have everyting from seed, trees, fruit, veg, herbs etc. They have seeds that you will not be able to get anywhere else.
