Well I woke up this morning to a scene of devastation, my tomato plants will be lucky to survive the day & my rhubarb pots were rolling around the garden.
Not sure my tomato plants will develop any way as they're still green and don't look like turning red any time soon so green tomato relish it is ha |

Sorry to hear of your wind damage. You surely can't be worse than our hill in Wexford which is mad today ! I can't bear to watch the trees and flowers as they bend in the wind.....I think I'll put on Lyric and do a pile of ironing to distract me !
Mind you I love watching how the birds seem to manage to fly despite the gales ! |

have to agree with you both. the wind has gone mental the last while. we live on a corner house with a very small grass area to the side and even a breeze feels like a gale as it swirls around the garden and feels like its coming from all directions at once. 7ft sun flower is tied down but still trying to escape over the wall when it blows.
dreading the high winds of the winter..... _________________ may your plants grow with you |

You could try putting some wind-break netting around the plot. |

Come to the Windy N/W with gusts up to 110KM as I type this,I've had a Swing-Boat blown over like a match -box bearing in mind that it will take 2 Adults to put it back into position such is it's weight. |

i just spent a very long and nervous night constantly visiting the polytunnel as it has only been covered for a few weeks and this was its first real test, thankfully it has passed with flying colours. |
