Hi! - As no-one with greater knowledge has replied to you, we've been eating ours for some weeks now.
The other day we had quite a sharp frost which 'burnt' the foliage so I picked off what was left in case they suffered too.
I'n assuming our crop is over for this year. I hope this helps. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Pulled all my own butternut squashes two weeks ago. They weren't getting any bigger so I decided to grab them. After you harvest yours, leave them outside in a sunny position for a day or two (assuming it's dry). This will help harden the skin and they will store better over the winter. |

Ya,
im surprised no one replied a bit quicker to my query, and then two on the same day. I suppose if i googled it or went on to one of the other more dedicated sites i would have got my answer quicker. Thanks to you both for the replies. |
