Am perplexed (as are my neighbours) by the growth of what look like Tomatoes growing on the potato stalks.
Growing in bunches of five or six, green 1/2 inch to 1 3/4 round .
Look exactly like tomatoes or small apples and when halved are green skin,yellow/white seed ring and white inner core
.Potatoes are duke of york variety and yield 3 large + 4-5 small per stalk.
Lovely bright red skin and nice tasters.
Anyone any idea what the stalk growth are? |

We have them too....I assume they are just the fruit of the potato plant which will ripen to produce seed.....
Just think about it.....you can propagate dahlias from tubers or seed....presumably the same for potatoes! |
